Welcome to Strasbourg
Dear colleagues,
It is our distinct honor to warmly welcome you to Strasbourg for the 21st International ESCAP congress hosted by SFPEADA. This historic city, positioned at the heart of Europe, symbolizes our shared commitment to unity and cooperation. Its strategic location facilitates our gathering from all corners of the continent, emphasizing our collective endeavor in the field.
Our profession confronts profound challenges and complex responsibilities. Today, more than ever, we must come together to share insights, research, and experiences. The intricate interplay of biological, environmental, and cultural factors in the development of young individuals compels us to look beyond traditional paradigms of nature and nurture. This congress aims to foster a deeper understanding of these dimensions, integrating them into both clinical practice and academic inquiry.
We stand at a pivotal moment in our field, where the need for an epistemological evolution is clear. Let us use this time in Strasbourg not only to bridge the gaps in our understanding but to forge pathways forward that are as diverse and dynamic as the lives we aim to support.
We would like to invite you to join us in embarking on this journey of discovery and collaboration with open hearts and minds. On behalf of the European Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (ESCAP), the French Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions (SFPEADA) and the local Organizing Committee, we very much look forward to seeing you in Strasbourg.
Welcome to Strasbourg. Welcome to the future of child and adolescent psychiatry.
